The post-industrial era has been confirmed as fact. The rapid growth and the resulting exponential acceleration puts us in an entirely new situation compared to the generations that preceded us, forces us to consider or reconsider the recent past as "distant past". Ideologies related to production and productivity have fallen while the massive and fragmented information prevents us from reflecting on past events and systems. I want to bring attention to everyday objects in an industrial society, transforming them into relics, fossils that might ask questions about our future. We can consider these "fossil", as witnesses of systems that we left some time ago and that, in contrast, seem ancient and distant from our contemporary life. I propose a new science called: post-industrial paleontology.
